Governor’s Mandate and Membership Payments
In light of recent announcements by Governor Cooper, we will remain closed until further notice. This mandate by the State of North Carolina to close all gyms, fitness centers and workout facilities along with many other social interactive places comes as no surprise. The steps we have already taken to help stop the spread of coronavirus/COVID-19 are in line with this mandate and we will continue to help in the effort to maintain social distancing that needs to take place to protect our members, guests, and staff. This is a community effort and we must focus on what we need to do to make this happen.
We know these measures are sometimes hard to understand but we want to do everything within our power to do our part to protect our citizens. We have worked diligently for the past week to disinfect and sanitize the facility to prepare to reopen once we are released to do so by local and state officials.
With all that said, we also want to ease your mind by letting you know that we will be suspending all draft payments for the month of April. If your payment is set up for monthly draft, we will suspend this process and funds will not be drafted from your account. We will continue to monitor the situation and will respond accordingly based on the span of time we are closed.
If you are a member paying your membership month-to-month, we will also be suspending payments as of March 17th and will add any unused portion (days) to your account (which may change your future due date). We want to make every effort to make sure you have the additional days added to your membership going forward once we reopen.
And lastly, those memberships that were purchased for multiple months (3mo, 6mo, Annual) we will extend your end date based on the number of days we are closed under this mandate. We thank you for your patience and we look forward to being back in operations soon so we can again serve you here at the Alleghany Wellness Center.
Sincerely,
Steve Mason
