Eat Smart, Move More!
Eat Smart, Move More North Carolina, is a statewide movement that promotes increased opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity wherever people live, learn, earn, play and pray. We work to help communities, schools and businesses make it easy for people to eat healthy food and be physically active. We also encourage individuals to think differently about what they eat and how much they move, and to make choices that will help them feel good and live better.
Karate for Kids & Youth
Our Kids & Youth Karate classes are based in Shotokan Karate but incorporate self defense. and techniques from many different styles including judo, muay thai,
jujitsu, aikido, tae kwon do, boxing, and many others. We focus on
introducing the youth to a wide variety of reaction and impact training
drills while incorporating a fun environment to learn and work on
Sparta Kids Triathlon
This triathlon is for participants aged 4-14 with 5 different age categories and is great fun and sure to be a confidence building race! The triathlon will begin and end at the Duncan Recreation Center. The race fee will include a finisher t-shirt and after-race snacks for each participant.The Sparta Kids Triathlon was created to encourage youth to HAVE FUN STAYING ACTIVE. By focusing on swim, bike & run, our hope is to encourage the participants to build lifelong healthy habits of setting goals for physical achievement.
